Bio:
Cláudia is a Professor of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, where she coordinates the PhD in Tourism, Heritage and Territory. She has a PhD in tourism and a post-PhD in Economic and Social Geography. She is affiliated with CEGOT (Geography and Spatial Planning Research Centre) and is member of the coordination board, coordinating Line 3 Tourism - Tourism, Heritage and Territory. Cláudia Seabra is one of the organizers of the international conference DSOTT: Diversity and Sustainability, Opportunities and Threats in Tourism that took place in 2023 and 2025 in the University of Coimbra. She is the Vice-President for Western Europe of the International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA). Her research interests are terrorism, safety, and risk in tourism. In her vast experience, she is considered as global voices in the field of risk perception, security-safety, and tourism
