‍Bio:

While still in his final year of a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Management, Joaquim Pires joined ICEP (Investments, Trade and Tourism of Portugal) in 1992 with the responsibility of implementing and managing an innovative sales network in tourist offices under ICEP's responsibility.

Four years later, after consolidating this project, he was given several others, notably the comprehensive management of all tourism fairs organized by Turismo de Portugal.

Residential Tourism, Ethnic Tourism, and the Tourism Intervention Program – Linha were some of the projects he was involved in, and more recently, in 2017, he took on the role of Team Leader with responsibility for the Meeting Industry segment.
